Matlock Racing San Quintin Ride 2025

This July, I had the privilege of joining Matlock Racing once again for their annual off-road adventure to the Foundation for His Ministry (FFHM) orphanage in San Quintín, Baja California. Matlock Racing did all the organizing, fundraising, and heavy lifting—this year raising $20,000 to support the children at FFHM. I was honored to be one of the many participants who contributed and joined the ride. This first video features drone and GoPro footage of our Can-Am and Polaris UTVs driving along the stunning Baja coastline. While the salt and sand cut our beach footage short, it’s still a powerful glimpse of what this ride is all about—adventure with purpose. While my daughter Jennifer wasn’t able to attend this year, I was moved once again by the joy these kids showed during our visit. Huge thanks to Matlock Racing, their sponsors, and everyone who made this ride possible.

🗓 Trip Overview:

  • Thursday: Started the day at 3:30 AM to finish packing and make the 6-hour drive to the Walmart near the U.S.–Mexico border. Overnight at Estero Beach Hotel.
  • Friday: 34 drivers and their passengers gathered for breakfast burritos and a trip overview before heading to San Quintin. We stayed at the Old Mill Hotel.
  • Saturday: Spent the day at FFHM Orphanage delivering donations, giving the kids rides in our off-road vehicles, and enjoying lunch with them.
  • Sunday: Returned to Estero Beach Hotel in Ensenada.
  • Monday: Drove back to San Diego, then continued on to Scottsdale.

This year, $20,000 was raised to support the orphanage along with school supplies, shoes, backpacks, and more.
